Rental of Agriculture (October 2011)

THE WOOD-SITE? A SOURCE TO REALIZE

Gandini Mechanics was founded in 1957 by the will of Charles Gandini, with the intent to manufacture farm equipment. That company in Mantua, based in Guidizzolo, evolves over the years, establishing itself successfully in the market for chippers and shredders becoming a leader among real estate developers. After 40 years of market presence, spent in continuous experimentation and development of new technologies, today Gandini Mechanics has about 60 models of chippers with capacities from 20 to 800 hp, and a score of shredders, power between 20 and 400 hp. Establish itself in the construction sector and the rental is the challenge that the company has taken some time. As George says Gandini, a member of the owners, 'broaden the company's fleet is one sure way to implement the income. Especially if the equipment in question have, like ours, a double advantage: to provide the service of cutting and grinding of waste wood material and regularly available on site and return the user with a high demand product today and well paid by the energy market from renewable resources: wood chips. " One of the strengths of machines Gandini, easily attachable to light construction equipment such as excavators and wheel loaders, is the versatility of the place of use. In fact, they can be fruitfully employed in forestry and agricultural sites, as well as in construction and in all those areas that involve civil and urban green spaces maintenance and care of public and private areas, areas which are also handled by machines taken hired by those companies.

FOREIGN MARKETS, INVESTMENTS AND EFFICIENT INTERNAL ORGANIZATION.
AS WINNING ON THE MARKET.

Since 2000, Gandini Mechanics is run by brothers George and John, the first part deals with the executive, administrative and sales, while the latter is from manufacturing and technology. Gandini Mechanics has always operated in sectors where production does not stand out for large numbers but where the technology, experience, reliability and value of the product are the plus of the product. Four points are the balances that characterize the company: quality, post-sale (with assistance, preventive maintenance and ad hoc campaigns in summer), the continued availability of all products in stock and more open communication between manufacturer, retailer and user. These are the guidelines on which it is based and operates the company. This is the present but what are the future business strategies? It responds Gianni Gandini co-owner with his brother George Mantua clothing.

We are investing heavily in renewable energy and we are expanding the site to streamline and improve the quality of prototyping machines. But the big job now is commercially viable. We would love for this set up partnerships and collaborations with other manufacturers that have distribution networks and commercial pressure superior to ours and that can help us implement this field. We will also continue to invest in research and development, because we want to provide the market with equipment reliable, durable and innovative concepts in them that do not normally encountered in other productions.

There is much talk of so-called "emerging markets" and that in this moment of crisis, take up a lot of our companies, for you who is the foreign market share? The distribution of our products are for 80% abroad, and our continent now remains the benchmark for Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Britain and some Eastern states), the rest are present in Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Morocco and a small part of Latin America, where we want to expand. The distribution is carried out by foreign importers who work exclusively for us in the various States: they manage the market and deal from advertising, marketing, trade shows, after-sales service, spare parts inventory and finished product warehouse.

And what about Italy? We are definitely more present in the North, an area where there is a greater culture of park maintenance, as well as in many northern European states. In general, however, in Italy (as in other southern European countries), often comes to the knowledge of our machines, and proceed to the management of green, almost by necessity, and only later you find that the chipper is economical because it saves a lot of time on site and provides a product that is a good source of income.
